Chicks With Picks started with a vision. Pandy Raye and Rhonda Hitchcock realized that Phoenix has so many talented female musicians, of all genres, that need to be heard! As two professional musicians, these two chicks set out to provide a platform for "up and coming" female singer/songwriters (Acoustic, Electric, and Full Bands). Many of these musicians don't know where to turn to get themselves on the right path to following their dream of performing their music.
Pandy Raye and Rhonda Hitchcock started Chicks With Picks in late October 2007 with only a handful of talented girls and weekly showcases. Chicks With Picks has now blossomed into an organization that features over 75 artists at weekly/monthly showcases and events. They have held festivals featuring national acts and local talent. Chicks With Picks offer workshops on a regular basis that cover topics in every aspect of the music industry including professional songwriting, recording and music business mentoring. Also, to provide a resource to all of our Chicks that will help them grow to their fullest potential. Talent is the only prerequisite.
